eBooks and eAudio

Dixon Public Library is proud to offer these eBook and eAudio services to our patrons.

Odilo is our latest eBook service, which has a wide variety of titles, including a large collection of classics and hard to find non-fiction. You can create an account with just your library card number and PIN.

eRead Illinois is an eBook service offered by the Illinois State Library.

OMNI Overdrive has eBooks and eAudio. You can use your library card to download eBooks, audiobooks, AND streaming movies from OMNI. Just click on the Download eBooks button on the library webpage and log into your OMNI account. Our OMNI service now has a great selection of streaming videos that you can borrow for 3 days. You can download up to 5 items at a time and can place up to 6 holds.

Biblioboard   RAILS (Reaching Across Illinois Library System) has partnered with BiblioLabs to bring our patrons a collection of eBooks that's available to any Illinois resident. Making a profile is not required, but is recommended for downloading and offline use of titles.  Apps are available in the iTunes store, on Google Play, and for Kindle Fire.

  • The BiblioBoard platform features four collections:

    1. Recovering the Classics featuring public-domain classics from world literature, with modern cover images
    2. Popup Picks featuring titles that will change quarterly and will include hand-curated e-books from expert librarian curators
    3. The Bodleian Library collection featuring items from Oxford University's Bodleian Library
    4. The Biblioboard Core collection featuring articles, images, books, etc. spanning a wide range of topics

There is no limit on simultaneous use; items in the collections can be read by 1 or 100 patrons at the same time. This means no hold queues and no waiting for titles.
